# Windows

To run Yucca on Windows, you need to install additional components:

1. [Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install)
2. [Docker Desktop on Windows](https://docs.docker.com/desktop/install/windows-install/)

> **Info.** Installing WSL and Docker requires Windows 10 22H2 (build 19045) or later, or Windows 11

After installing WSL and Docker, follow the instructions for running Yucca via [Docker Compose](https://yucca.app/en/docs/install/docker.md).

## Update and removal

Performed the same way as installation via Docker Compose — use the commands from the «Update» and «Removal» sections of the [Docker Compose instructions](https://yucca.app/en/docs/install/docker.md).
