Example of setting up motion detection by email on XM cameras
Cameras from this manufacturer are often sold under different brands, but they're easy to recognize by their web interface, which only works in Internet Explorer.
Open the camera's web interface with administrator rights.
Go to the settings section DeviceCfg (Setting) > System > NetService
Double-click the EMAIL field, and the SMTP settings field will open.
Specify the connection details – SMTP server, port, sender and receiver. The last 2 must match. If authorization is enabled in the SMTP server settings, specify the username and password.
Click Mail Testing. If everything is correct, you'll see a message that it was sent successfully Test message sent success, and in the yucca logs a message about the created event:
Event annotation created, stream_id: 10
And a yellow marker will appear in the corresponding camera's progress bar.
Next, you need to enable motion detection itself. Go to the settings section DeviceCfg (Setting) > Alarm > Video Motion
Enable the feature in the enable option, and set the notification type to Send Email
In the same tab, by clicking the Setting button, you can mark the area where motion detection is needed.
